Summary: Inclusion and reporting of clinical research participants from all backgrounds is the cornerstone to developing representative screening, assessment, and treatment models. One way to address the challenges of including a diverse group of participants is by developing community-based research partnerships. This webinar will discuss the importance of such partnerships. The speaker will discuss strategies to develop sustainable community-centered research approaches in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). Summary: SLPs who practice in schools may struggle to develop evidence-based interventions for students with developmental language disorder (DLD), especially methods that are aligned to their state's academic standards. This webinar will define and discuss DLD as it relates to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations.
