Summary: SLPs who work with infants and children with feeding and swallowing disorders are involved in high-risk patient care. Our knowledge base is broad in some aspects of feeding and swallowing evaluation and management. Summary: A culturally responsive approach to support clients and families from all backgrounds begins with understanding and meeting them where they are. Summary: This webinar will explore alternative access methods in early childhood along with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), with a focus on switch access. The speaker will discuss a total access approach assigning meaning to all communication attempts, increasing social interactions and acceptance, and presuming competence for the youngest learners. The course will explain the impacts of social determinants of health as they relate to the diagnosis of and intervention for children with ASD and hearing loss.
