Summary: This session describes the value of interprofessional practice (IPP) on a pediatric FEES (flexible [or fiberoptic] endoscopic evaluation of swallowing) team. Summary: In the era of COVID-19, clinicians in health care settings have faced challenges in the evaluation and treatment of a new patient population - those who have had COVID-19 - requiring us to reframe our current treatment techniques. This session focuses on reinventing the speech-language pathologist's approach to treatment of respiratory activity tolerance for motor speech. It addresses collaboration with physical and occupational therapists for incorporation of dual motor tasks with more traditional treatment. Speakers discuss goal writing and tips for tracking measurable outcomes.

Summary: This session shares findings from a tertiary care hospital at the center of the COVID-19 pandemic response in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and provides an opportunity to compare and contrast findings with global patterns and local experiences. Summary: This on demand webinar (available beginning March 30, 2024) will guide SLPs in knowing what to listen for in the speech and resonance of children with cleft palate, cleft lip and palate, and/or velopharyngeal dysfunction and will discuss how to differentiate active, passive, and adaptive articulations. Summary: Many clinicians may feel they lack the time, skills, or competence to effectively address diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); it might feel like one more thing on an already-long list of considerations and requirements. But if we focus on our passion for working with people and change our perspective about providing culturally responsive services, then it's not more work, it is the work. This course discusses the value of addressing DEI as part of audiology and SLP services and provides practical ideas for doing so.
