Summary: With increased age, comes a greater chance of falls. The health effects of a fall and the often-difficult recovery affect a patient's quality of life (including the ability to live independently) as well as his or her family. This session discusses how patient-centered audiology care can significantly reduce the risk of falls in older adults. The presenter discusses fall prevention options and patient outcomes.

Summary: This session shares findings from a tertiary care hospital at the center of the COVID-19 pandemic response in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and provides an opportunity to compare and contrast findings with global patterns and local experiences. Summary: Many clinicians may feel they lack the time, skills, or competence to effectively address diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); it might feel like one more thing on an already-long list of considerations and requirements. But if we focus on our passion for working with people and change our perspective about providing culturally responsive services, then it's not more work, it is the work.
