Summary: Dismissing students from intervention can be a difficult and sometimes contentious process. How do we determine when services for speech sound disorders are no longer warranted? This session explores modifying treatment conditions and intensity to achieve the best outcomes and using established exit criteria to make informed decisions about dismissal from services.

Summary: SLPs often operate from a deficits perspective due to the practical need to focus on assessment and qualification for services. Summary: Writing meaningful social communication goals can be difficult, but using a strengths-based framework can make it a bit easier. Summary: Childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) is a complex sensory-motor speech disorder that typically requires both intensive individualized intervention and systematic opportunities for generalization and carryover. CAS also has significant academic and functional impacts, especially on participation, language, and literacy.
