Summary: This on demand webinar (available beginning April 27, 2024) will highlight the behaviors and characteristics typically associated with hearing loss and those typically associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children from birth to age 10. The speakers will emphasize the unique characteristics that contribute to the dual diagnosis of both ASD and hearing loss. Summary: This live webinar (May 22, 2024, 1-3 p.m. ET) will explore the special education process from referral to dismissal under the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) as it relates to students with speech-language disorders. The speaker will discuss the role of the SLP, response to intervention (RTI) strategies, and the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with specific goals to meet the individual needs of students.
