Summary: Neurodivergent SLPs (including those with dyslexia, ADHD, anxiety, autism, etc.) have unique insights and expertise, making them invaluable assets for fostering client-centered care within speech-language pathology practice. In this session, three neurodivergent SLPs who started their own private practices due to lack of supportive and accessible options discuss employment and supervision barriers. They share systemic and individualistic shifts to support neurodivergent SLPs.

Summary: This session from ASHA's 2021 Schools Connect online conference gives an overview of the pros and cons of automatic speech recognition (ASR) and speech-to-text (STT) translation technologies for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Summary: The focus on technology during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in turn, the lessening of in-person interactions, calls for attention to social-emotional learning (SEL) as well as academics. This course shares a method using the metacognitive approach, Story Grammar Marker, with selections of children's literature that target SEL competencies through a narrative development lens.
