Summary: This webinar will explore alternative access methods in early childhood along with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), with a focus on switch access. Summary: In the era of COVID-19, clinicians in health care settings have faced challenges in the evaluation and treatment of a new patient population - those who have had COVID-19 - requiring us to reframe our current treatment techniques. This session focuses on reinventing the speech-language pathologist's approach to treatment of respiratory activity tolerance for motor speech. It addresses collaboration with physical and occupational therapists for incorporation of dual motor tasks with more traditional treatment. Speakers discuss goal writing and tips for tracking measurable outcomes.

Summary: This session shares findings of an exploratory survey study exploring the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on communication, mental health, and quality of life (QoL) in people who stutter. Summary: This on demand webinar (available beginning April 27, 2024) will highlight the behaviors and characteristics typically associated with hearing loss and those typically associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children from birth to age 10. Summary: This on demand webinar (available beginning March 30, 2024) will guide SLPs in knowing what to listen for in the speech and resonance of children with cleft palate, cleft lip and palate, and/or velopharyngeal dysfunction and will discuss how to differentiate active, passive, and adaptive articulations. Summary: Despite the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 stating that people with disabilities should have access to their communities, a critical component has often been overlooked—training emergency first responders to communicate with people who have complex communication needs. In this session, two SLPs demonstrate how they have trained nearly 2,000 emergency first responders.
