Summary: This session presents a brief overview of central auditory processing skills, assessment procedures, and results interpretation, followed by a review of multiple clinical cases of adult patients evaluated for central auditory processing disorder (CAPD)/deficits at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Summary: Geriatric care provides both unique opportunities and challenges for speech-language pathologists. SLPs working in geriatric settings often face ethical dilemmas associated with various aspects of clinical care, including the decision-making process, patient preferences and respecting patient rights, care planning, end-of-life situations, provision of services, and other issues. This panel discussion addresses the issues faced by SLPs in their daily practice and shares knowledge and resources to address these challenges.
