Summary: This session shares low-cost and accessible methods for voice measurement that clinicians in any work setting can use as part of a voice assessment for adults and children. These assessment methods address the impact of vocal issues on activities of daily living, allow individuals to report voice changes over time, and aid clinicians in developing treatment goals and measuring outcomes. Summary: SLPs often operate from a deficits perspective due to the practical need to focus on assessment and qualification for services. Summary: Meniere’s disease (MD) rarely occurs in children. Due to this, care and treatment by knowledgeable clinicians and physicians are lacking. This presentation reviews a case of a 10-year-old male with diagnosed MD, the interdisciplinary approach for care and treatment, the cross-facility approach for obtaining best results, and follow-up hearing aid fitting suggestions for the affected ear. This course was presented and recorded at the 2019 ASHA Convention.
