Summary: This recorded session from the ASHA Audiology 2022 Online Conference provides a comprehensive overview of today's modern and highly sensitive neurodiagnostic vestibular tests, including rotary chair, cervical and ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP), and video Head Impulse Testing (vHIT), as well as postural stability assessments. Summary: This presentation describes the case of a 48-year-old female presenting with vertigo and disequilibrium consistent with mal de debarquement (MdDS) following a weeklong vacation cruise. Summary: For stroke survivors with aphasia (SWA), language recovery is highly variable given the extent to which damage may exist in multiple neighboring brain regions. For African American SWA, social determinants of health also contribute to stroke recovery and aphasia rehabilitation, and SLPs can play a vital role in ensuring health equity. This session discusses evidence-based practices that holistically support neurorehabilitation for African American SWA, focusing on assessment, intervention, and culturally competent service provision that targets health-related quality of life and health literacy.

Summary: This session will examine the diagnosis and treatment of persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD). The session will explore the recently defined criteria for the presentation and symptoms of the disorder as well as describe current and emerging research that is helping clinicians and researchers better understand it.
