Summary: Even the most seasoned school-based SLP experiences moments when they stop and say, "Am I doing the 'right' thing?" The question may refer to their adherence to ethical standards or to the legal and clinical expectations of clients and employers. Summary: Inadequate oral hygiene practices can contribute to or result in severe localized and systemic illnesses, significantly altering the health status and well-being of older adults. Care providers must recognize symptoms, conditions, and their potential consequences and elevate routine oral hygiene care to oral infection control programs. Summary: This course explores an effective technique for building complex narrative language and thought. By "pressing pause," SLPs and students can take time to talk about and connect "thoughts" (mental states) to elements of story grammar such as initiating events, feelings, and plans.
