Summary: Principles of motor learning (PML) are guidelines developed for the purpose of training motor execution of movement. Initially designed for training in the limbs, the methods have been adapted for use with the oral motor system. Summary: Childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) is a complex sensory-motor speech disorder that typically requires both intensive individualized intervention and systematic opportunities for generalization and carryover. CAS also has significant academic and functional impacts, especially on participation, language, and literacy. Summary: Medicare beneficiaries are an important patient population to consider when developing a business model, and SLPs in private practice need to know how to enroll in and bill Medicare to ensure they are compliant with federal law. This course walks through the basics of Medicare credentialing, coding and billing, and documentation to ensure successful processing of claims and medical records that will stand up to scrutiny if audited.
