Summary: This on demand webinar (available beginning August 1, 2024) will equip SLPs who provide early intervention services with the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize progress through family-centered intervention. Summary: This session describes the value of interprofessional practice (IPP) on a pediatric FEES (flexible [or fiberoptic] endoscopic evaluation of swallowing) team. The presenter shares FEES case studies that illustrate this collaborative model for dysphagia management; describes the successes and challenges encountered by the IPP team during pediatric FEES; and reviews current FEES literature in the pediatric population.

One way to address the challenges of including a diverse group of participants is by developing community-based research partnerships. This webinar will discuss the importance of such partnerships. The speaker will discuss strategies to develop sustainable community-centered research approaches in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD). The course will include discussions on interprofessional collaborations, clinician-researcher partnerships, and student engagement.
