Summary: Clinical services for tinnitus have expanded greatly since the "masking" method was introduced in the 1970s, but no one treatment method has proven any more effective than any other. This on demand webinar will explain Tinnitus Stepped-Care, a framework for providing tinnitus clinical services. The framework suggests guiding principles that are essential in each of six progressive steps of tinnitus clinical care rather than promoting specific procedures for assessment and treatment.

Summary: Far too often, current learning priorities keep children and young adults focused on daily work, grades, and performance, creating a disconnect between habit mastery and the long-term needs of their future self. This session presents effective and evidence-based strategies to improve children's abilities to envision and execute goal-directed and future-focused actions. Summary: This session introduces a language intervention program for middle and high school students-Philosophy for Adolescents-that is designed to support critical thinking, narrative and expository discourse, and the use of complex syntax and literate vocabulary such as abstract nouns and metacognitive verbs. Summary: Published research indicates that outcomes in children with hearing loss are generally lower than their hearing counterparts. Given the cascading effects auditory deprivation and language delays may cause in children, providing differential diagnoses can present a challenge. This course identifies commonly occurring comorbid presentations in children with hearing loss and describes the process of making differential diagnoses.
