Summary: Dynamic assessment, which seeks to identify a child’s individual skills and learning potential, can be a useful but labor-intensive process. In this course – which is broken into six 5-minute activities – the presenter will demonstrate how you can efficiently collect data through dynamic assessment using the META (Match – Extend – Try it – Assess) Map tool to extend and expand on the student’s communicative strengths. Summary: This SIG 1 Perspectives activity focuses on the relationship between language and executive function (EF) in children with specific language impairment (SLI) and/or developmental language disorder (DLD). A clinical model of language therapy for adolescents with DLD and concomitant EF deficits was proposed. Summary: This on demand webinar presents a framework for assisting teens and adults in the design and implementation of stuttering intervention. The course is based on the concept that meaningful stuttering intervention and outcomes are based in the client's and clinician's shared understanding of the importance and weight that the client places on changing the physical attributes of stuttering, their thoughts and feelings about it, their use of avoidance strategies, and how ready they are to change one or all of these components.

While preventative dysphagia services are accepted as standard of care, many clinicians don't have the background in this population to determine how to best evaluate and treat patients prior to radiation.
