Summary: This session addresses the realities of child abuse and the SLP’s responsibility to recognize and report abuse. The speaker discusses legal definitions, signs, and symptoms of child abuse as well as common perpetrators and how they gain access to children through a process called grooming. Summary: Geriatric care provides both unique opportunities and challenges for speech-language pathologists.
