Summary: Geriatric care provides both unique opportunities and challenges for speech-language pathologists. SLPs working in geriatric settings often face ethical dilemmas associated with various aspects of clinical care, including the decision-making process, patient preferences and respecting patient rights, care planning, end-of-life situations, provision of services, and other issues. Summary: Clinical services for tinnitus have expanded greatly since the "masking" method was introduced in the 1970s, but no one treatment method has proven any more effective than any other.
