Individuals with hearing loss report miscommunication, inaccessible health information, reduced awareness by health care providers, and low patient satisfaction while struggling with inadequate health literacy. Summary: This presentation describes the evidence and future directions for research, practice, and policy to address factors that contribute to disparities in care between minority and non-minority patients.
