Summary: Right hemisphere brain damage (RHD) commonly causes pragmatic language use impairments that are most apparent during discourse production. This on demand webinar provides SLPs with guidance on discourse elicitation and evaluation using scripted tasks to help increase clinicians' confidence when assessing and diagnosing communication impairments after right hemisphere stroke.

Summary: This journal self-study course highlights the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on people with aphasia, patients with cognitive communication impairments, and patient-provider communication. Summary: Social communication involves the integration of language processing, pragmatics, and social and emotional learning, and is a challenge for children who present with developmental language disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and social communication disorder. This session presents a bibliotherapeutic intervention approach that SLPs can implement within a plan-do-review format. This practical approach utilizes brief (~15 minutes) story sharing, story enactment, and journaling activities.
