Description:
This webinar will provide an overview of all the elements involved in developing and navigating private payer and third-party administrator relationships, including enrollment options, ways to start enrollment, and guidance on initial negotiations. The course will prepare you to identify applicable payer policies and nuances in individual patient plans and summarize typical payer procedures for appropriate prior authorization and bill submission. The presenter will explain how to analyze denials to determine the need for resubmission, appeal, or discussions with the plan manager, as well as break down the appeals process and options for claims that do not pass an appeal.

Presenter Information
Meghan Ryan, MSL, Health Policy and Law (she/her/hers) studied speech and hearing sciences, with a minor in linguistics, at George Washington University, and is currently completing a masters of studies in law at Wake Forest University School of Law, with a focus in Health Care Policy and Law. Meghan has served as the Public Policy Associate on ASHA's Health Care and Education Policy team since 2017.
