Course Description

The work of public school SLPs across the U.S. was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This course focuses on lessons learned and information about student progress in schools and regulatory changes resulting from the pandemic. Presenters discuss states' approaches to equity in education, nondiscriminatory evaluations, and strategies to document educational impact and to support families and school SLPs. Presenters review research on evaluation and treatment of school-age students and tools to practice at the top of the license. The State Education Agencies Communication Disabilities Council (SEACDC) provides information on free resources and methods to unite school SLPs.

This course is a recorded session from the 2021 ASHA Convention Virtual Library (session 2215V).
