This webinar covers the latest speech-language pathology CPT and ICD-10 coding and payment updates as well as provides a targeted review of the 2023 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and its impact on payment for speech-language pathology services. Speakers review key health care payment compliance guidelines related to coding, billing, and telepractice as well as tackle complex coding, claims, and compliance scenarios submitted by clinicians throughout the year.

Presenter Information
Dee Adams Nikjeh, PhD, CCC-SLP, is an ASHA Fellow and an expert in health care code sets, compliance requirements, and billing practices. She is ASHA's SLP advisor to the American Medical Association's Relative Value Update Committee/Health Care Professionals Advisory Committee and consultant to ASHA's Health Care Economics Committee, a committee she co-chaired for 14 years. Her professional career spans four decades as a clinician, researcher, educator, expert witness for the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Division, coding and claims consultant, and advocate for the speech-language pathology profession.

Neela Swanson, BA, is ASHA's director of health care policy for coding and reimbursement, serving as a resource for ASHA members regarding coding and payment policy. She works with ASHA's Health Care Economics Committee, the American Medical Association's CPT Editorial Panel and Relative Value Update Committee, ASHA members, payers, and other stakeholders as an advocate for Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding and payment for audiology and speech-language pathology.
