Description
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is easily accessible and customizable and has endless professional and personal uses. But how do you get started? This course will define generative AI and share examples of platforms to consider. The speaker will walk you through creating an account, kicking off a conversation with an AI bot, and reflecting on how AI tools might be useful in your work. The course will also touch on ethical considerations for generative AI use. This course is intended for audiologists and SLPs who feel overwhelmed and either haven’t tried using generative AI or have not gotten far in their generative AI journey.

Presenter Information
Evan Reid, MPP, is the Senior Director of Analytics at ASHA. Evan is an experienced data scientist (read: data nerd) and thought leader with a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. Evan specializes in building robust data cultures, helping organizations develop complex, accurate models of their members, and always knowing the best place to get a taco. His expertise includes data visualization, data collection and processing, program evaluation, and AI experimentation. Before working at ASHA, Evan was a Data Manager at Westat. Evan holds a master’s degree in public policy from The George Washington University.
