This concluding session from the "2022 ASHA Health Care Summit: Grand Rounds in COVID-19 Rehab" online conference discusses finding a starting place for on-the-job change to address the challenges that COVID-19 presents to patient treatment. The speaker explores how changes related to the pandemic impact your clinical practice, your role in health care, and how you conduct business, as well as actionable next steps you can implement in your workplace.

Presenter InformationLuis F. Riquelme, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-S, is an Associate Professor at New York Medical College and Director of Barrique Speech-Language Pathology, PC. Riquelme has authored articles on dysphagia, multiculturalism, and quality improvement. Luis has extensive experience in program development and quality service management in both acute and long-term care settings. His research focuses on the impact of culture on our professions, changes in swallow physiology in persons with dementia, and pill swallowing patterns. He has served on multiple boards and committees including Chair of the American Board of Swallowing & Swallowing Disorders; Chair of NYS Licensure Board; Past President of NYSSLHA; Chair of Multicultural Issues Board; and others. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of IDDSI and sits on ASHA's Health Care Economics Committee. He has presented locally and internationally.
