Reading Disorder Identification and Intervention: Supporting Biliteracy in Dual Language Learners (On Demand Webinar) (PD102272)
Two big challenges in evaluating dual language learners with reading disorders are determining (1) the best testing tools and (2) the language for assessment. This webinar explores specific components of a reading assessment for English-Spanish bilinguals and shares interventions that can facilitate reading across languages. While the course focuses primarily on Spanish and English learners, speaker Elizabeth Ijalba includes examples from other languages and the types of reading difficulties that students experience.
