Summary: The use of telepractice for dysphagia management has increased dramatically due to the challenges of in-person practice during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this on demand webinar, the presenter will share step-by-step, evidence-based guidelines for the safe and reliable use of telehealth for dysphagia management in both pediatric and adult patients. The speaker will discuss legal safeguards, privacy and confidentiality considerations, technology infrastructure, clinician training and skills, facilitator training, and patient candidacy considerations. The webinar will include video case examples, problem-solving activities, and demonstrations of telepractice adaptations for clinical (bedside) swallowing evaluations and treatment sessions. Summary: Even before the COVID-19 pandemic required clinicians to rapidly adapt their practice for remote service provision, researchers were already exploring effective telehealth approaches for audiology. Summary: SLP roles, practices, and opportunities when working with children and adults with TBI have transformed over the past two decades. Much of the change has been driven by external forces, including insurance, science, regulations, and more. Summary: While remote service delivery has been around for several years, eAudiology (also known as teleaudiology) is becoming a daily reality for many audiologists, in large part due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This course discusses how eAudiology addresses the need for improving patient experience, providing innovative services, and increasing clinic efficiency. The speakers highlight how the recent advances in hearing aid remote programming fit with eAudiology, strategies for introducing eAudiology services to patients who can benefit from them, and how to best utilize eAudiology during and post-pandemic.
