Summary: This on demand webinar (available beginning April 27, 2024) will highlight the behaviors and characteristics typically associated with hearing loss and those typically associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children from birth to age 10. The speakers will emphasize the unique characteristics that contribute to the dual diagnosis of both ASD and hearing loss. The course will explain the impacts of social determinants of health as they relate to the diagnosis of and intervention for children with ASD and hearing loss.

Summary: This course is based on a recently published SIG 1 Perspectives forum, Language Sample Analysis Tutorials. The articles in the forum focus on three types of language sample analysis and best practices for conducting them utilizing the Computerized Language Analysis (CLAN), Systematic Analysis of Language Transcriptions (SALT), and Sampling Utterances and Grammatical Analysis Revised (SUGAR).
