Summary: This session from ASHA's 2021 Schools Connect online conference explores issues related to conducting screenings and assessments for speech-language services in schools. Summary: This session presents a review of the empirical uses of experimenter-created morphological awareness assessment tasks found in recent literature. The presenter summarizes assessments by type of morphemes assessed, type of morphological task employed, intended age ranges, and possible administration modes. The goal of the presentation is to provide clinicians with the relevant information from recent morphological awareness assessment literature for them to feel confident in selecting morphological awareness assessments for their own clients.

Summary: Children with developmental language disorder (DLD) can demonstrate a range of characteristics and challenges, which can appear not only in their language abilities but also in their cognitive and motor abilities. This on demand webinar (available beginning May 2, 2024) will give SLPs a deeper understanding of the common characteristics associated with DLD as well as individual differences among children with the disorder. The webinar will share examples of how to tailor vocabulary and reading interventions for children with DLD.
