Summary: SLPs often assess school-age children for speech-sound disorders using a single, standardized test. However, this "one-size-fits-all" approach can yield results that do not account for the impact of speech-sound disorders on other aspects of academic performance. This webinar will describe steps to help SLPs develop clear rationales and clinical decision-making strategies to assess speech-sound skill areas more effectively and facilitate intervention planning.

Without attention and intervention, professional fatigue can negatively impact a professional’s home life, relationships, personal well-being, work life, and/or ability to deliver person-centered care. Summary: Conversion disorder, also commonly known as functional neurological symptom disorder, is a complex and often misunderstood condition that can affect an individual’s communication, cognition, and movement. This webinar will explore all aspects of the psychological disorder, including etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and related issues to inform the SLP’s assessment and treatment of the disorder.
