Summary: This on demand webinar will discuss how health care policies affect access to audiology services. The speaker will present the results of a study of (in)equity in access to audiology services in the absence of Medicare reimbursements beyond physician-referred audiology assessments. Summary: With increased age, comes a greater chance of falls. The health effects of a fall and the often-difficult recovery affect a patient's quality of life (including the ability to live independently) as well as his or her family. This session discusses how patient-centered audiology care can significantly reduce the risk of falls in older adults. The presenter discusses fall prevention options and patient outcomes.
