Summary: In this course, three SLPs share their perspectives on working with multilingual students and overcoming challenges and barriers to equitable and effective augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) interventions. Summary: The Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) is a diagnostic tool used to assess the function of the balance system, specifically the semicircular canals (SCC) and vestibular-ocular reflex (VOR). This on demand webinar will review the anatomy and physiology of these systems, how the vHIT provides ear-specific data for each SCC, and how the vHIT can help diagnose vestibular hypofunction. Summary: Self-directed speech, or self-talk, can support preschool and school-age children's executive functioning, but this type of non-social speech is often delayed in children with communication disorders. This session explores the link between self-directed speech and executive functioning and describes strategies SLPs can use to facilitate the use of self-directed speech during intervention to support executive functioning and reduce challenging behaviors.
