Summary: Research suggests that a key difference between a leader and a manager is the capacity to think and act from a bigger picture and long-term perspective. Summary: Virtual meetings are a blessing and a curse for CSD professionals. While they allow for interactions with participants from different geographies and time zones, they are also often fraught with stressful technical challenges. Many facilitation strategies that are appropriate for in-person meetings fall short given the technical complexities of virtual meetings. In this webinar, participants will learn techniques to navigate these complexities, reduce their stress, and ensure that virtual meetings successfully deliver their desired outcomes.

Summary: Young musicians are exposed to traumatic sound levels that might increase their risk for tinnitus and noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Music and noise are known environmental risk factors for tinnitus and NIHL. This course examines a hypothesis that genetic variants might further explain clinical heterogeneity in tinnitus and NIHL.

Summary: This session is a clinical tutorial that uses cases examples to integrate the practices of language sample analysis and fluency assessment. It focuses on the implementation of fluency codes in narrative retell language samples. Speakers provide information on how to identify and accurately code specific types of disfluencies within a narrative retell language sample. The tutorial provides clinicians with practical tools to use in particular narrative retell language samples to assess fluency and language production skills in bilingual and monolingual children.
