Summary: This on demand webinar (available beginning October 24, 2025) will provide an overview of the strengths-based CARE Model framework for stuttering assessment, which reframes stuttering services by shifting focus away from the frequency or severity of disfluencies and instead highlights each person's distinct strengths across four key pillars (communication, advocacy, resilience, and education). The speaker will provide examples of assessment that can lead to meaningful, functional outcomes and actionable, short-term goals that empower children and adults who stutter to speak with confidence, authenticity, and agency.

Summary: This session analyzed the correlation between the binaural summation measured via acoustic reflex thresholds and the results of the masking level difference established for 500 Hz in 60 participants. The Pearson Correlation Analyses between the MLD values and the binaural summation revealed a significant (r= 0.277; p = 0.032) correlation when the probe stimulus was presented to the right ear and the reflex evoking clicks were presented to the left ear. Although the correlation is significant, the effect size is small, suggesting that each measure may provide information about both similar and different aspects of binaural processing and can be included in a battery of auditory processing disorders (APD) tests.

Summary: The Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) is a diagnostic tool used to assess the function of the balance system, specifically the semicircular canals (SCC) and vestibular-ocular reflex (VOR). Summary: There is evidence that many factors contribute to the varied performance outcomes among pediatric cochlear implant (CI) recipients, including etiology and quality of the electrode neuron interfaces (ENI). This course examines a study that investigated the intersection of these factors by analyzing the records and device settings for 156 children with confirmed diagnoses of either enlarged vestibular aqueduct (EVA) or Connexin-26 mutations.
