Summary: Despite the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 stating that people with disabilities should have access to their communities, a critical component has often been overlooked—training emergency first responders to communicate with people who have complex communication needs. Summary: This session provides instruction on creating and using readily producible visual aids (i.e., video play models, static play photos, Play Plan) to support executive function (EF), play, and narrative skills in preschoolers with DLD. Summary: Due to the rapidly changing climate in dysphagia management, adhering to recent changes in billing and documentation standards and procedures can be challenging for SLPs. Summary: This session highlights recent advances in understanding language acquisition in children who are deaf/hard of hearing (DHH), with an emphasis on the acquisition of sign languages (either on their own or alongside spoken languages).
