Summary: Many SLPs who provide early intervention (EI) services are aware of the neurodiversity paradigm and neurodiversity-affirming practices but still have questions about incorporating these practices into their services. Summary: As states, payers, patients, and clients consider telepractice as an alternative service delivery model, many audiologists are struggling to adapt their in-person practices to teleaudiology and are overwhelmed by quickly evolving coding and payment laws and regulations. This course provides practical information to help audiologists assess their own readiness for telehealth – as well as client and patient readiness – and develop a plan to implement this service delivery model. The presenters also discuss coding, payment, and compliance considerations and provide resources to help audiologists navigate changing regulations and ensure coding and payment compliance.

Summary: SLPs are charged with doing more with less time. This session from ASHA's 2021 Schools Connect online conference shares a way to address caseload and time challenges. The workload calculator is a tool that can be used to critically analyze an SLP's caseload. The speaker walks learners through using the tool so you can analyze your caseload to increase workload efficiency and productivity.

Summary: This journal self-study course highlights the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on people with aphasia, patients with cognitive communication impairments, and patient-provider communication. The findings can inform decision-making and assist SLPs in optimizing treatment for communication challenges for patients with COVID-19 as well as those for whom treatment has been altered as a result of the pandemic.
