Summary: In the era of COVID-19, clinicians in health care settings have faced challenges in the evaluation and treatment of a new patient population - those who have had COVID-19 - requiring us to reframe our current treatment techniques. Summary: This session describes the value of interprofessional practice (IPP) on a pediatric FEES (flexible [or fiberoptic] endoscopic evaluation of swallowing) team. The presenter shares FEES case studies that illustrate this collaborative model for dysphagia management; describes the successes and challenges encountered by the IPP team during pediatric FEES; and reviews current FEES literature in the pediatric population.

Summary: This session explores treatment targets and evidence-based practices to improve language and literacy outcomes for school-age children who are Deaf or hard of hearing. The speakers outline the heterogeneity that exists in the Deaf and hard of hearing population, summarize recent literature on predictors of language and literacy outcomes as well as the current status of literacy attainment in this population, and discuss evidence-based strategies to improve language and literacy outcomes.
