Summary: This session explores functional interventions to maximize developmental feeding skills and swallowing safety in children from birth to 3 years old with a history of cleft lip, cleft palate, and/or craniofacial differences. The speaker discusses case studies from infancy and early intervention that utilize the pediatric feeding disorder criteria to guide differential diagnosis and develop an evidence-based functional intervention plan.

Summary: This on demand webinar will explore service delivery modifications as well as evaluation and treatment principles for velopharyngeal dysfunction in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our patients in unusual ways. Patients with COVID-19 can present with a variety of symptoms: from loss of taste and smell, to fatigue, shortness of breath, and coughing. This session reviews current available evidence regarding best practices for dysphagia management for patients with COVID-19 in acute care and during their rehabilitation, including working through a case study.

Summary: In this course, three SLPs share their perspectives on working with multilingual students and overcoming challenges and barriers to equitable and effective augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) interventions. The course explores practical strategies, tools, and templates to help SLPs engage students and families, support multiple languages in AAC devices for students who are speaking or nonspeaking, and advocate for affirming practices that center the whole child.

Summary: This course examines the social and emotional needs of families and how professionals can effectively support clients and their families across the life span for greater well-being. Building on prior experience, knowledge, and skill within the area of auditory rehabilitation, the session focuses on clinical tools and techniques in areas including screening for depression and anxiety, techniques for parental involvement, and counseling skills in motivational interviewing.
