Summary: Having knowledgeable and supported caregivers—including parents, siblings, care attendants, home aides, home nurses, and extended family—is vital to an AAC user’s success. Summary: This SIG 2 activity, participants explore aspects of service delivery and advocacy for people with aphasia that are innovative and/or unique. The first article describes the creation of community aphasia groups and includes guidance for creating aphasia-friendly materials for a variety of purposes. Summary: Speech-language pathologists working in schools include measurable goals and benchmarks in students' IEPs. By reviewing speech sound assessment information, including narrow transcription of a student's utterances, the goals can be tailored to the student, thereby facilitating goal attainment. Considerations for culturally competent voice care is presented in the context of two case studies.
