Summary: Geriatric care provides both unique opportunities and challenges for speech-language pathologists. Posting of client-related information, uncivil remarks, misrepresentation of services, and/or defamatory claims—whether intentional or unintentional—may cross the boundaries of ethical and legal behavior. This session discusses myths surrounding social media, considerations for posting, and potential consequences of inappropriate use.
