Summary: Eligibility for speech-language services in schools must adhere to the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA). This session explains IDEA requirements, including eligibility criteria, use of standardized and nonstandardized assessments and classroom observations, and team decision-making.
