This webinar will discuss the core elements of the writing process to inform SLPs’ work with school-age children and adolescents with and without developmental language disorders. The speaker will highlight theoretical frameworks and current research that speak to the acquisition and improvement of cognitive, linguistic, and motor skills that are required for writing.

  • describe writing process frameworks and discuss developmental differences in the writing process among elementary, middle, and high school students

  • explain how children and adolescents with developmental language disorders differ from peers with typical development on a variety of components of the writing process
